A brand new concert hall complex was opened in 2019. The conference will be held in the main halls of EAMT, Chamber Hall, Organ Hall and the brand new Great Hall opened in 2019.

The main entrance to DIP is from the Concert and Performance Centre in Sakala street.

Getting here

Arriving by air: Tallinn Airport is located just 4 km from the city centre. Tram no. 4 takes you directly from the airport to the centre in approximately 20-25 minutes. It runs daily from 5:30 a.m. until 00:45 a.m, see schedule. The tram stop (Lennujaam) is located right next to the terminal – just follow the signs. The closest stop to EAMT and the official DIP hotels is Vabaduse väljak.

Arriving by ferry: Port of Tallinn connecting Tallinn to Helsinki and Stockholm is located within walking distance, 15-20 minutes from the Old Town. The ferry terminals A and D are connected to the centre by bus no. 2. It runs daily from approximately 5:30 a.m. until midnight, see schedule. Going to EAMT or the hotels, you need to get off at stop A. Laikmaa and change to tram no. 3 or 4, direction Tondi, to Vabaduse väljak.

Taxi stands are located directly outside the airport and the ferry terminal. The majority of companies available at these locations accept both cash and cards for payment.

Free public transport

DIP participants can use public transport free of charge with the specially generated conference QR ticket sent by mail and printed on name tags. Simply remember to validate each entry at the orange validators at the front door of the vehicle. To do this, place the QR code (displayed on a smart device screen or printed on paper) against the code reader screen at the lower part of the validator.

Getting around

Thanks to its small size and compact layout Tallinn is easy to explore on foot.
The official DIP hotels are located very close to EAMT (St Barbara is 500 m and Hotel Palace just 300 m away). If you are staying at another location, please use Google Maps or another app for finding the best route to the Academy from your place of stay.

We have compiled a map with the main locations including nearby lunch options and ATMs.  Please click the square in the top right corner of the map to view the full detailed version.
